Franschhoek, South Africa

The village of Franschhoek ("French Corner"), located on Vineland Cape in South Africa, is known as restaurant and wine capital of the country. On the shady streets you will find many galleries and antique shops, and on the hills outside the city seen vineyards stages, broken out there over 300 years ago. You can go on a wine tasting, and you can fish or just take a walk on foot. Huguenot Memorial Museum is dedicated to the first settlers, who fled France to escape religious persecution.
